We are facing a very real crisis in our democracy. Millions of Americans find it impossible to vote – whether because they lack the necessary ID, are confused about requirements, or are intimidated by increasingly stringent laws.
VoteRiders has been providing free, nonpartisan voter ID education and assistance to voters in need since 2012. Our 2020 goal: Guarantee the right to vote for at least 1 million Americans by Election Day.
Kathleen Unger, the Founder, President and Board Chair of VoteRiders, will be the featured speaker at Indivisible Portola Valley's meeting on January 15th. She will highlight how VoteRiders’ effective programs reach, educate, and assist voters in need in targeted states as well as across the country, with a special focus on how Indivisible Portola Valley's contributions have ensured the right to vote. Kathleen will also be sharing VoteRiders' plans for 2020 and answering your questions.
Founded in 2012, VoteRiders is the nation’s leading organization focused exclusively on voter ID. VoteRiders' mission is to guarantee American citizens' right to vote. We are a charitable nonprofit, and every component of our work is non-partisan. VoteRiders does not charge voters or partner organizations for the services and assistance we provide. Funding to deliver these resources is wholly dependent on donations to VoteRiders from concerned citizens.
